Let us now subsidize the jackasses

When will they send the RTC after the sloppy lending institutions, and the FBI after the people falsifying loan applications? Dave Shafer at Marimark Mortgage recently told me that 1/3 of the imperiled sub-prime mortgages are from 'investors.'  Dave and his partner Mark, by the way, are among the best people to call if you are in Tampa and need a loan.  Anyway, I find it amusing how many of the liar loans come not from people trying to put a roof over their families' heads, but from people who don't want to work and thought that buying houses would make them millionaires.  If you listen to the AP stories, you would think that the national opinion is that we should subsidize the failing lenders, and the failed investors, with tax revenue. Not with my money!
